After starting at the University of Otago one day back in the year 2000, I finally completed my BA(hons) at the end of '03. Out of sheer desperation I am currently working on my Masters, primarily in the burgeoning field of Ray Tracing on GPUs. Since I will not be able to put off leaving school much longer, I am soon to start thinking about becoming gainfully employed.

This research is being carried out primarily under linux, with extension to windows in the near future. My theory is that if I can implement my ideas under linux, a) I can do anything, and b) It will be that much easier to do in windows. One day I'll spin you a tale on just how hard it's been to make the simple things work under linux, graphics driver support being what it is. That will be a story worthy to be told.
Currently I'm using a Pentium 4 2.4GHz Fedora 1 box, with an NVidia Quadro FX 3000. There should be a 6800 on the way soon, but I thought that a couple of months ago now... If I can get this all working on this card, it should be a fairly straightforward process to extend it to make use of the new functionality.

I've put together a noteblog to allow me to more easily put together my ideas, without quite so much html coding. This can be subscribed to with RSS, and the most recent feeds will also turn up on the viewer on the right. I hope with this to build a progressive development on my work and where I'm heading. Of course it's all open to comment and ideas are always welcome.
