Syed Faisal Hasan

Academic History

I received my B.Sc. (honors) degree in 2001 and Masters in 2002 from Department of Computer Science, Dhaka University, Bangladesh.

Work Experience

From December 2001 to March 2003 I worked as an Information Systems Officer at Nestle Bangladesh Ltd. (NBL). My job involved administering the WAN and deploying new network services as required. I was responsible for managing the transition phase when NBL was getting connected to global wide area network of Nestle S.A. I resigned from the job to switch my career towards research.

From April 2003 to February 2004 I worked as a full-time lecturer at the same department from where I graduated. Besides taking regular classes there, I worked as a part-time consultant for various IT related projects of Bangladesh government.

From March 2004, I ‘m working towards completing my Ph.D. I ‘m also administering the cluster computing systems at the systems lab.
